Synopsis
A film crew came to the home of Olesya, a deaf forced migrant from the Donbas region of Eastern Ukraine. After filming her life at home, Olesya took the crew to Kryvyi Rih’s Local History Museum, where they discussed the options that deaf people have for fun and leisure. The crew also filmed Olesya at her workplace, “Auchan Hypermarket Ukraine.” The video includes clips of a conversation between journalists and a representative of the non-governmental organization «The Knowledge Management Institute», who demonstrated a few basic gestures in sign language and discussed the nuances of conversation with the deaf.
