“Unexplored facts of history” is a historical, popular scientific, educational program that sheds light on the events that took place in Azerbaijan 100 years ago – during the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. Each release of the weekly program is dedicated to a particular event or fact of great historical significance. The current release tells about the ethnic composition of the population of Azerbaijan at the beginning of the 20th century, paying special attention to the period from 1918 to 1920. Based on the historical investigation conducted with the documents of the State Archive of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the author demonstrates how ethnic diversity affected the political, social and cultural life of the country.
