The Center of Minsk has changed dramatically. Dull, bland yards and industrial neighborhoods have been transformed as paintings by some of the world’s best street artists began to spring up in the city. These walls have become exciting city attractions due to the initiative of Mila Kotka and Danilo Costa, two employees of the Brazilian Embassy in Minsk. The Street Art Festival “Vulitsa Brasil” was held for the third time in Belarus. This Brazilian brand of urban art has brought together not only Belarusian artists but also spectators. The festival aims to improve intercultural communication, bringing prominent Brazilians to discover Belarus and giving Belarusians the opportunity to admire Brazilian contemporary art.
