Synopsis

Soroca is a small town in the north of the Republic of Moldova. It is home to the country’s oldest medieval fortress and nowadays, a Roma community. The Roma have built huge houses, some of which replicate famous buildings such as Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre. The film’s hero is nine-year-old Nicolae and his younger brother. The boys describe their lives and dreams with humor from a child’s perspective while leading us through the eccentric and theatrical world of Soroca’s Roma community.
